ARTISAN DETAILS
Ethikos Home is a lifestyle brand that is committed to bridging ethical practices with timeless pieces that will successfully reflect your vision of home. The husband-and-wife team has made it their goal to employ hands, inspire homes, and impact hearts. Their artisan teams are made up of 34 women and 28 men -- ages varying between 17-56 years old. Many of them have been in the woodworking field for 15+ years, receiving a living wage to provide for their families. During a conversation with one of the employees about her working environment, she smiles and said, "I enjoy coming to work. These people are my family."
Ethikos Home has been employing talented woodworkers for more than five years. The team of wood artisans is comprised of men and women, some native to Thailand and others who are refugees from Myanmar. They function like a team should -- eating meals together, encouraging one another, looking out for each other's well-being, and supporting one another in their daily work as well as their personal lives. Ethikos Home is in contact with the team ensuring wages, a sanitary facility to work, and general health practices.
